Product FAQ
Is the jewelry hypoallergenic?
Yes. Our jewelry is made with safe and carefully selected materials. It is brass-based and nickel- and lead-free, giving it a very low likelihood of causing reactions on sensitive skin. However, in cases of severe allergies, we recommend opting for pieces in solid gold or pure 925 silver.
How many layers does the jewelry have?
Gold plating: All our gold-plated jewelry features 5 layers of 18K Gold Filled – Latin hue, a vibrant, more yellow and warmer coating than those commonly used in Israel.
Silver plating: Silver-plated pieces receive 30 layers of 925 silver (92.5% purity), the standard used in professional jewelry, which guarantees a firm, shiny, and long-lasting coating.
What is the jewelry made of?
All our jewelry is made of brass, a noble and durable metal widely used in high-quality jewelry for its versatility and excellent finish. Additionally, it is nickel- and lead-free, which significantly reduces the likelihood of causing reactions on sensitive skin.
What types of materials and stones do you use?
At By Sharon Jewelry, we create exclusive pieces plated in 18K gold and 925 silver, which always triple or exceed the plating standard, both locally and internationally. Our jewelry is crafted on recycled hypoallergenic brass bases, free of nickel and lead, ensuring sustainability and comfort. We combine quality circons, faceted crystals, natural pearls, mother of pearl, and carefully selected natural stones such as onyx, agates, aventurines, quartz, and labradorite. Details like Italian charms and seed beads plated in gold or silver add movement and a distinctive style. The result is authentic, durable, and elegant jewelry that enhances femininity with a unique Latin spirit.
Is the jewelry handmade?
Currently, our jewelry is not handmade, but each piece is carefully designed, selected, and supervised by our team. We are working to incorporate handcrafted collections in the near future, always maintaining our quality and design standards.
Can I get my jewelry wet? In the shower, the ocean, or the pool?
Our jewelry is made from durable materials and carefully coated with high-quality plating. However, to maintain its shine and prolong its durability, it's important to consider the type of water it's exposed to:
Shower: Jewelry can tolerate occasional contact with water, but it's best to remove it before showering. Soap, steam, and prolonged humidity can accelerate the wear of the bath over time.
Ocean: Saltwater can affect gold or silver plating. Although our pieces are highly resistant, we recommend not wearing them in the ocean to avoid premature tarnishing or deterioration.
Swimming Pool: Completely avoid use in swimming pools. Chlorine and other chemicals present in treated water can quickly damage the finish and shorten the jewelry's lifespan.
Conclusion: You can wet your jewelry occasionally, but if you want to keep it in perfect condition for a long time, it's best to remove it before exposing it to water in any of these situations.
Does jewelry oxidize?
No. Thanks to the quality of the materials and the technical processes used in their manufacture, our jewelry is designed to resist oxidation. With proper care, it will retain its original appearance for a long time.
Do they come with a warranty?
Our jewelry is made with the highest quality materials, but we do not offer a general warranty, as it is not possible to verify how the product was used. If your jewelry shows any unexpected damage, fault, or deterioration, you can contact us. We will carefully evaluate the case and, if appropriate, arrange a hassle-free exchange or refund, according to our return policy. If you care for it according to our recommendations, your jewelry can remain in perfect condition for up to 10 years.
Where does the jewelry come from?
Our jewelry comes from Colombia, Brazil, and Peru. We work with manufacturers who share our vision of quality, design, and authenticity, selecting unique pieces brought from the most exclusive corners of South America.
